Writer Ushmey Chakraborty approached us to produce this short film as a love letter to all our parents. Inspired by the themes and depth of character within the story, we infused unique painterly visuals and expressive characters to portray the fantastical world of Colorville.

To complete a 16-minute short film with a small team, we got creative with our production methods.

All the environments were painted in VR with a program called Tiltbrush.

The characters were rigged and animated in Maya, then exported into Blender for stylized rendering.

We even created a procedural shader for our background actors that assigned them a random color from a preset list of possibilities.
